About FBCN
Who we are
The Barcelona Nautical Capital Foundation (FBCN, formerly FNOB) is an entity set up in 2005 with the founding purpose of promoting the sport of ocean sailing.
The creation of the FBCN was the result of an idea developed and realised by a platform formed by Barcelona City Council, Fira de Barcelona, the Barcelona Port Authority and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
The final aim of all the FBCN's activity is to turn the city of Barcelona into an international benchmark for top-level competitive sailing, from a sporting, educational, business and scientific point of view.

With the aim of making Barcelona a benchmark for competitive sailing in the Mediterranean, the FBCN has been connecting and communicating the values of competitive sailing to all kinds of audiences through educational and training programmes, etc., for over 20 years.
Training
We are working to place Barcelona as a point of development and innovation in international competitive sailing.
Blue economy
We promote economic activities linked to aquatic environments that are compatible with the conservation of marine ecosystems and that favour sustainable social and economic development.
Sport
We promote and facilitate the preparation of high competition projects for future sailors.
Thanks to the activity of the Base, the largest sailing competition fleet of reference in the Mediterranean has been formed.
Competition
We promote regattas of the highest international relevance, making Barcelona the benchmark of competitive sailing.
At the centre of the port of Barcelona
The FBCN space is at the epicentre of America's Cup activity, a corporate environment right at the heart of a memorable event.
La FBCN es troba dins d’un entorn excepcional, situada en ple Moll de Llevant del Port de Barcelona, al final del Passeig Joan de Borbó, continuació de l’emblemàtic barri mariner de la Barceloneta.

The environment serves as a promotional platform for the FBCN, which plays the role of America's Cup host.
