The project

The Base Mini FBCN is the result of the agreement between the Base Mini Barcelona and the FBCN, to create the most important centre for training, technical training, formation, organisation of regattas and maintenance of Classe Mini 6.50 boats in the Mediterranean.

The goal

The purpose of the Mini Barcelona Base is to train and support offshore sailors so that they can compete in solo or double-handed offshore racing.

The Mini Barcelona Base provides answers to the different needs of the sailors, both in the sporting plan and in the management of its projects.

We guide and collaborate with the Minists participants in order to provide logistical or training services, giving courses, conferences or training in the area, as well as preparing and training ocean sailors who wish to participate in the MiniTransat.

Base Mini Barcelona guides and supports them in their project both from a training and logistical point of view.

The FBCN has established an agreement with the Base Mini Barcelona to integrate its activity into the structure of the Foundation. A common project that will help to consolidate Barcelona as the international benchmark in competitive sailing that it has already begun to be, and in this case, in the Mini 6.50 Class.

Its aim is to disseminate the sport of sailing and facilitate its practice to citizens, as well as promoting the values of sport and sailing, reinforcing the basics of ocean sailing.

The Mini FBCN Base provides more than 12% of the participants of the Minitranstat in 2021. After France (the host country), Barcelona is the "country" with the highest number of participants in the recent edition.
